Every day…

Ecclesiastes 11:6 “In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening withhold not your hands, for you know not which shall prosper, whether this or that, or whether both alike will be good.” [AMP]

Every day we need to live our lives full of expectancy in God. This is a key way to fight off depression and wrong mindsets that have taken hold in our lives. As we go about our daily tasks of doing good and helping others, we must never tire in our generosity. Farmers will never tire in sowing seed – it is a way of life for them. Farmers know that if they stop planting seed then they will stop receiving a harvest in their future.

This verse helps us understand that we must develop a lifestyle of generosity. A life that gives all day long and never withholds. It is not necessary to know which seed produces our upcoming prosperity. We only need to know that we must plant in the right soil and continue to be generous people to prosper. Some people are generous on Sunday and stingy for the other 6 days of the week. They have just limited what God can bring to prosper their lives.

A harvest will come from every seed we sow – good or bad. Seeds are sown through the words we speak, the finances we give and the serving works that we do… the list goes on! These seeds will all prosper as a harvest in our lives. We must continually keep our expectation for the harvest on Jesus. He has a plan and a way of delivering it to us. Harvest often arrives in a completely different package or from a different source then we expect – but it will always arrive!

This week expect that God is going to prosper you! Don’t balk at the way He chooses to do it, the source it comes from or the package it arrives in – accept your blessing from God.

Setting Sail…

James 3:4 “Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.” [NKJV]

Our lives are like a ship on the move. Ships are designed to stay in water, to move and work in that surrounding. Ships can be huge and can move under their own power however the wind and waves can still push them around. Even the greatest cruise liners of the 21st century have to allow for wind resistance in their navigation otherwise they will go off course.

There are many winds that blow at our lives. The strongest and most consistent of these is the fierce wind of adversity. Adversity will push us around but we must remember that we have a pilot, a captain, steering our life. A ships captain moves the rudder and the ship turns and uses the winds of adversity as well as the resistance of the water that it is immersed in to accomplish the directions of the captain. Whatever circumstances we are immersed in, whatever winds of adversity are blowing at us, let the pilot, the captain, Jesus Christ steer us on to our destination.

Even the smallest move of a rudder will transform the direction of the largest ship. In our lives a small shift in direction can often result in the greatest of outcomes. We are to hold fast to the instructions of Jesus for our life, asking Him to steer our life to its destination. Use the powerful winds of adversity and the resistance of circumstances to accomplish His purpose in your life this week. Yield to our pilot, our captain Jesus… He knows where to take your ship!

Genesis 12:2 “And I will make of you a GREAT NATION, and I will bless you [with ABUNDANT INCREASE OF FAVORS] and make your name FAMOUS & DISTINGUISHED, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others].” [AMP]

This is an exceptional promise. God says He will make of you a GREAT NATION. We each live in one of the greatest and most beautiful nations on the face of the Earth. This verse says that God can make of you a GREAT NATION. This means that as great and beautiful as your nation is, God can make something even greater and more beautiful of you.

He tells us how He’ll complete this exceptional task. He says He will bless us with ABUNDANT INCREASE OF FAVORS. Not just a singular favor but plural favors. Then He’ll add abundant increase to these favors. Think on that for a minute. We all love receiving favor but God says he will bless us with ABUNDANT INCREASE OF FAVORS – now that’s good.

God goes on to say He will make your name FAMOUS & DISTINGUISHED. Many people try to make their own name famous & distinguished. God says that to make of you a GREAT NATION He will make your name FAMOUS & DISTINGUISHED – WOW!!! He says He will do it for you.

Finally, to be a GREAT NATION He says that we will dispense and give out goods to others. You and I are to be Blessed so abundantly as a GREAT NATION that we will bring ABUNDANT INCREASE OF FAVORS to all those around us, continually! We will each be abundantly blessed so we can be an abundant blessing to others.

Capture this in your spirit this week and let God do His perfect work in you to make of you a GREAT NATION!!!

Joel 3:16 “God ROARS from Zion, SHOUTS from Jerusalem. Earth and sky quake in terror. But God is a SAFE hiding place, a granite SAFE house for the children of Israel.” [MSG]

God SHOUTS and ROARS with so much volume that the earth and sky quake in terror at His voice! With that much sound coming from God the enemies voice cannot be heard; the enemy’s noise is silent in comparison. This means that in God’s presence we can experience silence from the clamor of noise that the devil produces and from everything he is saying.

Even though God creates such a great volume of SHOUTS, He is a SAFE hiding place. This verse calls Him a granite SAFE house for us, His children. He is a place of safety and peace in each and every situation we face. Remember though, that God’s hiding place was reserved for the children of Israel, this is now the people of His church. This means it is reserved for you and I. There is a seat in the safety of God just for you – a seat with your name on it. This is cause for a great celebration.

As we run to God for protection, the enemies voice will no longer be heard. We can reside in the safest place that exists. This is where we can be placed today. Collect your reserved seat by asking God in prayer. Then as you run to him and enter into His safety the enemy is heard no more… Let’s dwell in Gods’ safe place together!!!

Acts 2:2 “And SUDDENLY there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled ALL the house where they were sitting.” [KJV]

Victory will often arrive SUDDENLY. Humanity had been waiting and believing for the fullness of the answer from Genesis 1 all the way to Acts 2. They were looking for a miracle; a victory and it arrived SUDDENLY. This miracle did not only arrive SUDDENLY; it filled the entire house – every single space… even where they were sitting was filled! The promise infused and filled every area as it arrived. There was no place that the miracle did not fill.

We want you to know that it doesn’t matter what promise from God you are waiting on from heaven, God is excited to get it to you and it can arrive SUDDENLY filling every area of your life! Remember only the believers that stayed the course in the upper room had the joy of being the first to receive this promise when it arrived that day. They were ready and expectant for their answer to come and it turned up SUDDENLY, FILLING ALL the space. They were ready to receive it and they did.

This week get prepared and fully expectant for your promise from God to arrive. Let it come SUDDENLY and FILL every space you have. Believe and receive it for your future in Jesus name.
