Recover Your Life…

Matthew 11:28 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your LIFE…” [MSG]

Tired, worn down and burned out… does this sound familiar? In our fast paced world it seems that this type of lifestyle is normal but in reality it’s not. We were not created to live under this enormous pressure or to move at this frantic pace.

Now for the surprise… we can escape to a LIFE that is free and light!  We can get our true LIFE back and it’s not too late or too difficult to do.

Our verse tells us why we lost it originally. It’s simply because we forgot to keep coming to Jesus. This is the reason we end up with a burned out LIFE style. Life almost certainly just got too busy and we stopped connecting with Him. We took Jesus out of our LIFE and LIFE automatically took over.

It’s time to get into recovery mode! Follow the Words of Jesus and we will recover our lives. Take time to come to Him and hide away with Him. Let’s bury ourselves in God’s Word and before we know it we have a recovered, flourishing LIFE.

Psalm 35:27 “Let those who favor my righteous cause and have PLEASURE in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, who takes PLEASURE in the prosperity of His servant.” [AMP]

People often greet one another with three simple words, “How are you?” Most of us don’t even pay attention to what is said and quickly reply back “good thanks.” This week we see that God is very concerned about how you and I are.

In this Psalm the word “prosperity” means “welfare in health, peace and success.” God says He takes PLEASURE in the welfare of our health, peace and success.

Five simple habits to living in God’s PLEASURE are:

  1. To favor God’s righteous cause
  2. Take pleasure in uprightness
  3. Shout for joy
  4. Be glad
  5. Let our words continually magnify God

Let’s step up together into a new level of PLEASURE from God! Simply apply these five easy habits every day and God will cause our health, peace and success to come into balance. The result? God takes great PLEASURE in us as we obey and, before we know it, we’ll feel closer to God than ever before.

An Open Invitation…

John 6:19 “Then, when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw JESUS walking on the sea and drawing near to the boat; and they were frightened.” [NASB]

I often have a huge list of things I need to get done. Then even more gets added. It is easy to get bogged down in the pressure of getting it all completed. In today’s verse the disciples are having a similar problem. They are on the sea with the wind blowing hard against them.  Most of the night they are rowing, fighting the sea and the storm, doing all they can in the natural to get to their goal.

Then they see JESUS!

How long had he been there? Quite possibly he’d been walking right near them all night and they hadn’t noticed. They had been so busy dealing with all their circumstances. As soon as they noticed JESUS, He stepped into their boat and everything was okay as they instantly arrived at their destination.

Here’s a powerful key to the future! Don’t get bogged down in the present and fail to invite JESUS into your future. Victory is having JESUS with you. He is keeping pace with you right now but you must acknowledge him and invite him on-board. You have paddled long enough by yourself… Let JESUS step into your boat today!

Who’s Looking At You…

Psalms 101:6 “Mine eyes are on the faithful of the land, to dwell with me, whoso is walking in a perfect way, he serveth me.”[YLT]

I don’t know about you but when we go shopping our eyes are constantly looking for a good deal on what we’ve set out to buy. We do this so we don’t miss what we’re looking for. In the same way God’s eyes are looking for the faithful of the land.

Now the word “faithful” in this Psalm means “BUILDER UPPER or SUPPORTER.” So, God’s eyes are upon those who build up and support others. I want you to know that God is looking at us right now. We have caught the eyes of God. This happens because he wants to dwell with us. That is what building up and supporting others does – it makes God want to dwell with us.

The word “perfect” means “INTEGRITY and TRUTH.” When we walk in integrity and truth we get to serve God from our hearts, not just as an outward action. This is one of the simplest keys to serving God and keeping His eyes on us!

This week faithfully BUILD UP and SUPPORT others, walk in INTEGRITY and TRUTH knowing that God’s eyes are upon us. We will dwell with him and serve Him like we never thought possible.

Your Secure Investment…

Hebrews 6:18 “When God wanted to GUARANTEE his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee—God can’t break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable.” [MSG]

How magnificent is our God! He has given us amazing, unchanging promises that he wanted to guarantee. That’s right, God wanted to add a GUARANTEE to every single one of His promises. He added His rock solid GUARANTEE to make His promises the most secure blue chip investment ever.

Now this offer is not “too good to be true.” It simply works this way: God gave his word as the GUARANTEE. Remember that God’s Word is Jesus. So God GUARANTEES all his promises with Jesus! Jesus is the rock solid GUARANTEE that ensures every promise of God is fulfilled. God never needs to change any of His promises because they are so secure they are impossible change.

This week, keep in mind that all God’s promises can be fulfilled in your life. God is not stopping them and neither should you. They are GUARANTEED to occur. They are unstoppable. So don’t give up, don’t draw back and never yield to a lie. God will fulfill all the promises He has made because Jesus GUARANTEES it!
