“Let those who favor my righteous cause and have PLEASURE in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, who takes PLEASURE in the prosperity of His servant.”
People often greet each another with three simple words, “How are you?” Most of us don’t even pay attention to what is asked and quickly reply with “good thanks” even if that’s not correct. We shy away from expressing anything negative fearing the response that may come.
This week’s verse shows us that God is very concerned about how we actually are. The word “prosperity” here means “welfare in health, peace and success.” God is saying He takes PLEASURE in the welfare of our health, peace and success. What a good God we serve!
Here are 5 simple habits that’ll cause us to live in God’s PLEASURE:
- Favor God’s righteous cause
- Take pleasure in uprightness
- Shout for joy
- Be glad
- Let our words continually magnify God
This week, let’s step up together into a new level of God’s PLEASURE! Let’s apply these 5 essential habits every day. God will cause our health, peace and success to come into balance. God will take great PLEASURE in us and before long we’ll feel closer to God than ever before.
