“So let’s keep FOCUSED on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision—YOU’LL SEE IT yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it.”
Philippians 3:15-16
Everything seems a blur when it’s out of focus. We can guess what we’re looking at but until it comes into focus we’re not actually sure. When we see clearly we understand how mistaken we were judging in the blurred vision of unreality.
Today’s verse reminds us more than ever to live in the fullness that God has for us. To do this we need to stay FOCUSED on His goal. His goal becomes our target in life. It’s our high call, our hope, our purpose in Christ Jesus. Our goal includes everything God has hoped & planned for us. When we’re totally committed to focusing on His goal we’ll SEE clearly. If life ever seems a little blurry or misty then it’s time to refocus on heavens goal through God’s Word… The Bible. As clarity comes our verse reassures us that we WILL SEE IT!!!
We need to guard our mind closely and not let misinformed people build doubt in our minds. We can’t let the blurred vision of others distract us from our goal. They are usually on a totally different track, heading in a totally different direction, towards a totally different goal. So let’s keep our FOCUS & pursue the vision that God has put into our hearts.
This week let’s set our focus on God’s goal for our life. As we remain FOCUSED we’ll begin to see clearly. As we see clearly we’ll start moving in the right direction. Then don’t stop! Don’t change your God focus for any reason. Just keep moving towards the reward and receive everything God has planned for us on this journey!
