“Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I WILL HELP YOU,” says the LORD, and your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.”

I love how the Bible says it how it is. When we fear like Jacob the bible calls us worms! Worms are part of the decay process. They make stuff unusable by eating, devouring and spoiling all the good in it. They turn good things rotten until they decay & disappear.
Today’s verse reminds us that fear works exactly like worms in a believer’s life. Fear eats, devours and spoils the goodness of the faith walk we’re on. Fear destroys the good that we should be experiencing. Fear makes our future decay & disappear. But remember that God is always on the look out for us. God says, “I WILL HELP YOU” as He commands us to FEAR NOT!
When we allow God to help us by choosing not to fear, He’ll show Himself as our Lord, our Redeemer, and the Holy One in our lives. As we allow Him to take this position, we’ll no longer need to fear. We’ll no longer be viewed as worms. Continually God will look for ways to help us flourish & win in life.
This week let’s stop being a worm. Let’s not yield to the destructive fearful worm mentality that’ll destroy our faith! Let’s act now! Let allow God to fulfill His word in us today. He says “I WILL HELP YOU” when we FEAR NOT. So lets allow God to HELP. He’ll equip us; He’ll keep us strong; and He’ll lead us boldly forward as champions in Christ.
