“But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the holy Spirit.”
Every single person on Earth is on a journey that involves times of spiritual attack. In these times God doesn’t want us to buckle, He wants us to overcome and experience victory. God has supplied us with His full armor [Ephesians 6:10-18] and He wants us to become elite athletes in the realm of the spirit.
Today’s verse reminds us to train. We are to carefully build ourselves up by praying in the Holy Spirit. Praying in the Holy Spirit means praying in our heavenly language – speaking in tongues. It’s a powerful gift for all believers in Jesus Christ!
As we pray in this heavenly language we make our spirit strong. This helps us to be able to hear the voice of God more clearly. It also helps release a divine flow of strength from heaven to help us. When we pray in our heavenly language we are praying the mind of the Holy Spirit over our situation and God’s answer comes forth.
This week let’s start to build a strong spirit. Let’s set aside some time to pray in the Holy Spirit. Not only will we hear God’s voice clearer, we’ll also receive a divine flow of strength from heaven. We’ll be setting ourselves up for victory in the future so as we overcome the battles the enemy sends to attack our lives.
