“So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.”
2 Corinthians 4:16
Have you ever taken a new shirt out of its packet, unfolded it and then tried to get it back in the original packaging? You soon discover that once unfolded it is virtually impossible to return it to its original state.
Today’s verse reminds us that Grace works in a similar way. As we allow grace to unfold in our life everything changes and we can never be the same again. Grace keeps unfolding to such a degree that even our old desires & ways are consumed. As grace continues its expansion we soon discover that we no longer fit in our old life we can only fit in our new life.
Grace will stop us giving up even when we want to give up. Grace will stop us from falling apart even when it looks like everything is falling apart. Grace will produce new life where only dead things existed. That is the power of grace. That is why not even a day can pass without us needing abundant grace on the inside of us. This week lets have a fresh God Encounter. Lets allow grace to unfold further in our lives. Let’s forget our old life and grab a hold of our new life, a life that is being stretched by His grace. Soon we’ll discover that our past has gone and our future is overflowing with His unending grace. Our new life filled with grace causes us to say: “I’m not giving up. How could I!”
