“Yes, joyful are those who live like this! Joyful indeed are those whose God is the Lord”
Psalms 144:15
There’s an old saying “The grass always seems greener on the other side of the fence.” Many people live their lives always in search of greener pastures rather than improving the place they’re in right now.
Today’s verse shows us His simple process to obtaining joy by living above any circumstance that wants to rob it from us. Our basic foundation for Joy is through making God our Lord and not just our God. Simply, we must cease just knowing about God and start living every part of our lives as He instructs in His Word. That is what will bring us joy.
God has placed the potential for joy exactly where we are today so there’s no need to look for it anywhere else. As we work God’s Word into our circumstances, family & workplace today we’ll discover joy starts to bud & flower all around us.
So, this week let’s increase the Lordship of God by releasing His Word & His ways into our world. If there is little joy where you are then grab the keys from Psalm 144 and open up the potential for joy around you. Before long the greenest pasture of joy will be where you are & there will be no need to look elsewhere.
