A Daring Venture…

And Jesus went a little further…
Matthew 26:39

It’s said that the biggest risk is not taking any risk. For some people risk may be repairing & restoring a broken relationship. For others it could be achieving academia or entering a new career. Risk always includes attempting something seemingly unachievable and doing all we can to make it succeed. If we never risk, we’ll seldom receive what our future demands.

Today’s verse lets us know about a risk that Jesus took. When His life was in turmoil, He entered the Garden of Gethsemane and went a little further than His 3 disciples. The risk He took seemed small. It was however a greater step than all those with Him were willing to take. God’s Word safeguarded Jesus’ risk and it produced great fruit for everyone eternally.

Whenever we risk going a little further, by stepping out in God, we always take a gigantic step forward in the realm of the Spirit. Doing this often makes life a little less convenient & a little more uncomfortable but it brings forth much greater success in our future. The problem is too few believers ever risk pressing further into God. For those who do the rewards are evident & enjoyed.

This week let’s decide to go a little further in God. It’s time to take the risk and step forward into our God dreams. Don’t just sit sleeping at the gates to Gethsemane like the disciples. Instead step into the challenge of going a little further. Take a risk rather than settling for the comfortable & the easy. Obey God’s Word and it’ll transform your family’s future for generations.

So Close…

“Jesus went on A LITTLE FURTHER and bowed with his face to the ground, PRAYING, “My Father!…”
Matthew 26:39

In life things can often get in our way and distract us. When they do, we can feel like we’re at our limit or that we can no longer move forward. When we stay there moaning and complaining, nothing ever improves. We just stay in overload. But when we’re able to regain our focus we soon discover there is a place of victory.

Now, this is a great verse to help us focus in difficult times. It says that when we go A LITTLE FURTHER, like Jesus, then PRAY, we enter a zone of victory just like He did. Jesus was able to accomplish the will of His Father because He went FURTHER and PRAYED. When we do the same we’ll become connected to our future and enter our victory.

This is such a powerful key. PRAYER is the connection between the Father and us whenever we reach out to Him. PRAYER also allows the plans of heaven to invade our world. Prayer causes confusion to cease and spiritual strength to be revived. This week let’s go a little FURTHER into God than we’ve ever gone before. Let’s escape our comfort zone and press into Him at a whole new level. Even if it seems impossible or painful. Even if the expected result does not appear quickly, let’s just keep pressing into God. Before long we’ll reach our victory zone exactly as Jesus did so we can fulfil God’s will in this season of our lives.

A Little Further…

“Going a little further, He fell on his face and prayed”
Matthew 26:39

Sometimes in life it feels like we hit our limit. We feel like we can’t move forward any further. We mistakenly stand still, looking about, rather than focusing on moving forward. Stopping in life gets us nowhere. When we do something, even something small & seemingly insignificant, we start moving out of our rut and into our future.

Today’s verse encourages us to ignore our feeling and get moving. We’re not being challenged to change the world in a day. We simply need to move forward A LITTLE FURTHER. This enables us to reach our breakthrough just like Jesus. He knew that accomplishing the will of His Father would mean going A LITTLE FURTHER. He went that little further & He received His breakthrough.

Even when life seems difficult, impossible or even futile, breakthrough comes as we go A LITTLE FURTHER. Rather than desiring our comfort let’s summons up our obedience to move forward on God’s Word and step into our future. Our promised rewards are always ahead of us but if we never go A LITTLE FURTHER, we’ll never reach them in our lives. Our hidden strength to accomplish God’s will is to go A LITTLE FURTHER.

This week as we go A LITTLE FURTHER let’s remember to do exactly was Jesus did. He went A LITTLE FURTHER then He stopped and He PRAYED. PRAYER connects us to the Father allowing the plans of heaven to invade our world. When this happens confusion ceases, spiritual strength is revived and we are closer than ever to our heavenly rewards & goals.

Risky Business…

It’s So Close…

Matthew 26:39 “He (Jesus) went on A LITTLE FURTHER and bowed with his face to the ground, PRAYING, “My Father!…”

In life things can often get in our way and distract us. When they do we can feel like we’re at our limit or that we can no longer move forward. When we stay there griping and complaining about it, nothing will ever improve, we’ll just stay in overload. But when we’re able to regain our focus we soon discover a place of victory.

This week come with us as we go FURTHER into God than we have ever gone before. Let’s escape our comfort zone and press into God at a whole new level. Even when it seems painful or the expected result does not appear quickly, lets keep pressing into God. Before long we’ll reach our victory zone exactly as Jesus did. He was able to accomplish the will of His Father because He went A LITTLE FURTHER and PRAYED. When we do the same we’ll become connected to our future.

Fulfilling God’s will in this season of life is as simple as going A LITTLE FURTHER and PRAYING!!

Go a Little Further…

Matthew 26:39 “He (Jesus) went on A LITTLE FURTHER and bowed with his face to the ground, PRAYING, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” [NLT]

This is a great verse… This week, go A LITTLE FURTHER than you have gone before. Even when it may seem painful or the expected result may not appear to be the easiest. Why? To enable you to reach your victory exactly as Jesus did. Jesus had to accomplish the will of His Father so he went on A LITTLE FURTHER.

Often we can have feelings that we are at our limit or that we can’t go on any further. At these times, if we can summon up the obedience to move forward on God’s Word, we will step into our future with all it’s rewards. We often underestimate our strength to accomplish God’s will because we refuse to step out of our comfort zones. We want to dwell in a place of comfort then gripe and complain about nothing happening in our lives.

As you go A LITTLE FURTHER today remember to do exactly what Jesus did, He went on A LITTLE FURTHER then he stopped and PRAYED. PRAYER is the connection between the Father and us. It allows the plans of heaven to invade our world, causes confusion to cease and revives our spiritual strength.

Fulfilling God’s will in this season of your life is often as simple as just going A LITTLE FURTHER!!
