In a medical library there are hundreds of thousands of books stacked on row after row of shelves. These books are all filled with information that deals with sickness, disease and infirmities. These books cover being unwell in the physical, mental and spiritual realms.
Todays verse reminds us that for all the words that have ever been written or spoken just ONE word has power over them all. That word is the name of Jesus. In Genesis chapter 2 Adam was entrusted by God to name every part of God’s creations. Ever since then mankind has given names to everything they have discovered. Nothing exists that will not be named.
The truth is that we have just one word, one name, that is above all the multiplied millions of ailments, diseases & difficulties that exist. That is the GOOD NEWS of the gospel. EVERY knee must bow to the name of Jesus & admit defeat. This includes every sickness, every disease and all infirmities. Jesus has already won the victory over them. The battle is already finished. We have been given His name to use over them so we can have victory too.
This week lets get prepared for a victorious future? Lets take this GOOD NEWS and wage war with it. Lets speak the faith filled name of Jesus against whatever ails us. Don’t accept “no” for an answer. Hold out for the victory instead. Before we know it we’ll be staring victory in the face as we celebrate the one name that is above every other name.
