“Everything else is worthless when compared with the INFINITE VALUE
of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.
Philippians 3:8
It doesn’t matter what we attempt, what we achieve, or what we fail in. All our efforts become nothing when compared to the INFINITE VALUE of knowing Jesus as Lord. He is the anointed one and He carries the anointing. This anointing will break every oppression that tries to hold us down. Wherever Jesus is made Lord, nothing else can rise up and seize His position of authority… absolutely nothing!!
Today’s verse is also a great reminder of the beautiful words written by Helen Lemmel “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in his wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace.” Each day our lives need to be reset to focus towards Christ. Each day we must make adjustment to insure our gaze is on Jesus and not on the things of the world. As we do this, our lives will become consumed by His glory & His grace.
So, what are our eyes focused on today? Are we gazing at something more important than Christ? Are we looking at circumstances, needs or situations? Is it our bank balance, unemployment or a health problem? No matter what it is… let it fade away and make Jesus the focus of today.
This week let’s remind ourselves of the INFINITE VALUE of Christ our King. Let’s raise every situation & circumstance we face to Him. Let’s focus on what is truly worthy rather than on things that are temporary and changing. Nothing good can ever be lost when we have Jesus as our Lord & Saviour. So let’s set our focus on Him and allow our future to be all it can be.
