Philippians 4:19-20
A child in a supermarket throws a tantrum when they don’t get something. When they do get it, they’ll go quiet & behave. Many believers have “grown up” tantrums with God. When they don’t get what they want they make a big fuss about it. When they do receive something they’re quiet as a mouse. These are both wrong responses to God’s miraculous supply in our life.
Every time God supplies our need it’s a miraculous act. Our response should always be a powerful response. Our response should be to glorify God in our words, our life and our testimony. Our response should become our lifestyle. A lifestyle that’ll go on FOREVER & EVER.
Here’s another key from today’s verses. It about the timing of our response. We’re reminded to respond NOW. We’re told to glorify God NOW. Whether we’ve received anything or not, we should respond in faith NOW!!! We’re not to wait or hesitate. We should be instant & consistent to give God glory for what He will do. This response to God should be as automatic as our breathing.
So, this week, let’s get into the habit of instantly & consistently praising God for what we need. It doesn’t matter if we’ve seen it yet or not…. it’s coming. Let’s develop a powerful cycle of blessing that can’t be stopped. A cycle of blessing that’ll be taken into eternity. A cycle of blessing that’ll let heaven know we do believe what God says!
