“… for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”
Psalm 107:9
After being hungry it’s a great feeling when we eat again. After eating, our appetite becomes satisfied. This feeling of satisfaction brings contentment to our bodies and it releases us to focus on other things rather than food.
Our verse today helps us see that as we become spiritually satisfied in Jesus our focus will change from hungering after Him to spiritually helping others. When we’re satisfied in Him, we’ll begin to lead others through the promises of God in the same way that we were led. Starting with coming to & believing in Jesus then having our hunger filled & satisfied.
In John 6:35 Jesus says, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” So, if we truly want 2021 to surpass every other year, we must follow this promise. We must come to Jesus & believe in Him in every area of our lives – spirit, soul & body. We must leave no place hidden from Him; we must lay everything before His throne!
So, let’s start to hunger & thirst after God so He will bring good things. Let’s allow Him to satisfy our spiritual thirst & fill our spiritual hunger with these good things. Let have Jesus answer all our spiritual hungers. We’ll soon discover we can do mighty exploits by helping others on their journey towards their God Destiny.
