“God’s your Guardian, right at your side to protect you… God guards you from every evil, he guards your very life. He guards you when you leave and when you return, he guards you now, he guards you always.”
Psalm 121:5-8
I remember watching the changing of the guards at Windsor Castle. The ceremonial pomp did not impact me as much as the fact that these guards were not actors. These guards were elite professionally trained military soldiers. They were armed and dangerous. Their role was first & foremost to watch over and keep the royal family safe.
Today’s verses are powerful verses. They remind us that God Himself is guarding and protecting us! God is standing watch over our very lives. He guards us from evil; He is guarding us right now. He guards us as we leave and as we return. God is our guardian.
Neither is God full of ceremonial pomp! God provides us true protection. He provides the greatest protection that has ever existed. His guardian power is very real and it is required for safety in every part of our lives each & every day.
This week let’s remember God’s protection over our lives. No matter what we face remember that God is with us and we have no reason to fear. God is consistent, vigilant and He never leaves His post of protection. This week let’s allow God to watch over us, keep us safe & guard us. We are always a part of His royal family. He is always protecting us.
