Statement of Faith

  • We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.  It inspired by God, a revelation from God to humanity, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason.
    2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, Hebrews 4:12

  • We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.   They are eternally self-existent, self revealed and function as one entity. God is totally loving and completely holy.
    Genesis 1:1,26, Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10-11, Matthew 28:19, 1 John 4:8, 1 Peter 1:16

  • We believe in the creation and the fall of humanity. Sin has separated each of us from God our creator. Our only hope for redemption from the fallen sin nature is in Jesus Christ the Son of God.
    Genesis 1:26-31, 2:17, 3:1-7, Romans 5:12-21

  • We believe in the personality of the devil, who by his influence, brought down the downfall of humanity and now seeks to destroy the faith of every believer in Jesus Christ. He seeks to hinder the gospel, dominate men, cause harm, deceives the world, accuses the brethren, is a murderer and has no truth in him.
    Genesis 3:1-15, James 4:7, 1 Peter 5:8, John 13:2, 1 Thessalonians 2:18, Luke 22:3,31, Acts 5:3, 16:16, Matthew 8:16, 2 Corinthians 12:7, Revelation 12:9-10, John 8:44

  • We believe that Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.  He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of God as our great Intercessor.
    Isaiah 7:14, 9:6, Luke 1:26-38, 1 Corinthians 15:1-7, Acts 1:9, Hebrews 12:2,7:25

  • We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and reconciliation with God, we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and submit to His will for our lives. This salvation is by grace and through faith.
    Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8, Romans 10:9-13

  • We believe that water baptism by full immersion is to be observed by all who have repented and accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.

  • We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, with the initial physical evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
    Acts 1:8, 2:4, 10:44-46, 19:2,6

  • We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and that they are available to all believers.
    1 Corinthians 12:1-11, 27-31; 14:1

  • We believe in the spirit filled life, a life of separation from sin and the perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith.
    2 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1, Ephesians 5:18, 1 Thessalonians 4:7

  • We believe that Divine healing is provided for in the Christ’s Atonement and is the privilege of all believers.
    Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, Mark 16:17-18, James 5:14-15

  • We believe Jesus has all power and authority over the devil and his demons. Jesus has given His authority to believers in His name over every work of the devil against their lives.
