Coming Through…

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?”
Romans 8:35

Often at meetings & conferences I need to make my way quickly through large groups of people. I would love them to part like the red sea to let me pass but this seldom happens. I’ve discovered that the quickest way through is to select my destination and then move slowly & surely towards it. I apologize and excuse myself on the way but I do not let anyone or anything stop me from getting there.

In today’s verse the Apostle Paul asks a very poignant & important question. He follows his question with a list of things that people will use to slow us rather than move out of our way. That’s right people will bring tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril and the sword against us specifically to separate us from the love of Christ. But Paul said they must move out of our way!

Now it’s only when we refuse to be separated that we receive our victory. What we must do is keep our focus solely on Christ’s love as we keep moving slowly & surely towards Him. We must refuse to let others obstruct or hinder our progress. We must stay focused, keep moving forward to reach our victory.

This week remember that it matters little what hindrance we’re faced with as long as we keep our focus. No matter what tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril or sword is put before us it must move aside. Remember it’s OK to SAY “NO” to the things that hinder our progress in Christ and it’s OK to SAY “YES” to the things that expedite our journey.

Move Aside Please…

Romans 8:35 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?”

So I’ve discovered that the quickest way through is to select my destination and then move slowly and surely towards it. In today’s verse the Apostle Paul asks a very poignant and important question. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? He follows this question with a list of things that people will use to slow us but it’s the people using them that need to move. That’s right my friend, people will bring tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril and the sword against us specifically to separate us from the love of Christ. But they must move out of our way!

Now it’s only when we refuse to be separated that we receive our victory. What we must do is keep our focus solely on Christ’s love as we keep moving slowly and surely towards Him. We must refuse to let others obstruct and hinder our progress. We must stay focused and keep moving forward on our path to victory.

It’s a great week ahead
