Matthew 7:24 “Everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.”
The key to any good building is the foundation. They hold & support the weight of everything that is built upon them. If the foundations are faulty, the whole building may be unstable and won’t endure. But good foundations produce a good building and good foundations are what we need to succeed.
This verse tells us that we need good solid foundations to live a successful life. Jesus says that whenever we hear what He says and we do it, strong foundations are formed for our future. If we ignore His voice, or choose not to obey, we cause faults to form in the foundations of our lives.
But that’s not all. As we hear and do what God’s Word says, wisdom enters our life. It permeates our foundations & influences every part of our life as we build upon it.
This week let’s strengthen our foundations. Let’s become hearers and doers of God’s Word in a greater measure. Our life’s foundations will become as solid as rock and everything we build will stand and endure. Life’s storms will not be able to destroy us and everything we do will be for the glory of God.
