Long & Strong…

I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb
Jeremiah 1:5

The longer we know someone the deeper our relationship with that person can become. Some people become our trusted friends because of the journey’s we’ve walked together. We have climbed life’s hills & walked through its valleys building trust, hope & confidence together. These people become more than incidental friends, they often become a valued & vital part of our future.

Today’s verse lets us know about our longest & strongest relationship. We’re told that God intimately & personally knew us before we were even conceived. This means He knows us better than anyone. He knows every one of our strengths, weaknesses & desires. He knows how to lead, direct and help us through every part of this life.

Oftentimes we forget to connect with our longest & strongest friend. We try to climb life’s mountain and walk its valleys alone. We forget that He wants to lead us, help us and direct us to a victorious & prosperous life. His motives are pure and His heart is towards us, his longest and strongest friends.

This week let’s not ignore the one who knows us best. Since God knew us before He formed us, He wants to help us whenever we need it. Connecting with our longest & strongest friend will enable us to receive all He has to lead and guide us forward. We simply connect with Him by opening His Word, the Bible, and reading, meditating and praying on it. This forms a connection that enables Him to lead, help and direct us through every part of our life. So, get into God’s Word & get ready for your victory!!!

Remember Me…

Hebrews 13:5 “…for God has said, “I will never leave you or abandon you”

Before we were even conceived, before we were formed in our mother’s womb Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that God knew us. Not only does He know us but Luke 12:27 says that he knows everything about us to the minutest detail. God knows us and He has a purpose and plan for our future that is beyond whatever we can ask or think. But it’s easy for us to forget this and feel lonely and abandoned.

Our verse helps us to understand that God has a powerful and unique promise to each and everyone of us. That promise is that HE’LL NEVER LEAVE OR ABANDON US. It doesn’t matter how savage and destructive the storm is that batters our life He is not separating from us. God is sticking with us and His power will be there to help and deliver us out of every circumstance. We can tend to forget what we promise but God doesn’t. If He says He’ll be with us then that’s where He’ll be. He doesn’t forget us and He doesn’t forget what He said He’ll do. We need to take strength in this and anchor ourselves into this truth… He remembers me, He’s with me… And He’s not leaving me!

Many people right now are going through a tough storm in life. We want to encourage you that God is there with you right now and he has a plan to prosper you into your future. There’s a testimony that’s coming from the trial you’re passing through. So don’t stop and don’t stand still in this season. Grab hold of God’s promise and race into your future with Him – you’ll be glad you did.
