Psalms 35:28 “And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.” [WBT]
I can remember being constantly told in the playground by our schoolteacher “It all seems fun until someone gets hurt.” I still recall all the fun that we had peppered by the occasional pain when something did go wrong. Life so often reflects this! We can unknowingly be doing something that produces the wrong result.
This leads us to a priceless truth in our Psalm: Our tongue is the joystick of our day.
Now ponder on this for a moment… our tongue will direct our day in the same way as a conductor directs an orchestra. The book of Proverbs is filled with many valuable lessons about our tongue. It lets us know both its power and its weaknesses. Our tongue is able to say whatever we let it but if we want the right results we have to use it correctly.
Take the plunge with us today and let’s use our tongues to speak of God’s righteousness and His praise – all day long. As we do this we will find that our days become filled with Him and the course of our life is right on target.
