Suddenly…

and suddenly there came from heaven… Acts 2:2
and suddenly there appeared… Luke 2:13
and suddenly there was… Acts 16:26

Have you ever had to wait for someone? Minutes can seem like hours and hours can seem like years. We try to amuse ourselves but it feels like they’re never going to reappear. Eventually they do, the wait was worth it and what felt like an eternity now seems like nothing at all.

This trio of verses reminds us that the answer to what’s distressing us is on its way. God is powerful and He is actively working in each of our lives. If things seem unbearable at the moment, know that God himself is on our side, and He is working to turn things around. The solution will often appear suddenly and in an instant everything will begin to change.

In Acts 2:2 the Holy Spirit suddenly came to abide with us, Acts 16:26 Paul & Silas were suddenly supernaturally freed from prison and in Luke 2:13 the angels suddenly appeared to glorify Jesus the Saviour of mankind. All were difficult situations; all required the supernatural power of God and all happened SUDDENLY!

This week let’s get prepared for our lives to change suddenly. Whatever the distress, difficulty or impossibility is, why not invite the power of God in to change it. Even though we may have waited a long time, when the solution suddenly appears it will all seem worth it. The wait will seem like nothing at all.

Suddenly…

SUDDENLY a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven
and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Acts 2:2

Victory will often arrive SUDDENLY. We’re simply doing everything that we’ve always done and it SUDDENLY appears. We’re just faithfully continuing on our journey and it’s there. SUDDENLY everything changes. SUDDENLY everything is different. SUDDENLY nothing will ever be the same again. It may have arrived SUDDENLY but it proves to be all that it’s promised to be.

Today’s verse is about a victory that arrives SUDDENLY. Humanity had been watching, waiting & believing for a God answer since the book of Genesis. They were looking for a miracle. They were searching for a victory. It arrived SUDDENLY. It didn’t just arrive; it filled the entire house… every single space… even where people were sitting. The promise infused and filled every area as it arrived. There was no place where that the miracle did not occupy.

On the day of Pentecost it was only the believers who had stayed the journey in the upper room that received the sudden arrival of the promise. They were ready. They were expectant. They SUDDENLY received all that heaven had for them and they were never the same again. It doesn’t matter what promise from heaven we’re waiting on, God is excited to get it to us. He’s so excited that it’ll arrive SUDDENLY filling every area of our lives.

This week lets not give up on what God has promised us. Let’s get prepared & expectant for it to arrive. Let expect it to arrive SUDDENLY. Then, why not allow it to FILL every space of our life. No matter what promise of God we’re waiting for it can, and often does, arrive SUDDENLY. It fills every area of our future to overflowing. This week let’s be ready to believe & receive our answer in Jesus name.

And Suddenly…

Acts 2:2 “And SUDDENLY there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled ALL the house where they were sitting.” [KJV]

Victory will often arrive SUDDENLY. Humanity had been waiting and believing for the fullness of the answer from Genesis 1 all the way to Acts 2. They were looking for a miracle; a victory and it arrived SUDDENLY. This miracle did not only arrive SUDDENLY; it filled the entire house – every single space… even where they were sitting was filled! The promise infused and filled every area as it arrived. There was no place that the miracle did not fill.

We want you to know that it doesn’t matter what promise from God you are waiting on from heaven, God is excited to get it to you and it can arrive SUDDENLY filling every area of your life! Remember only the believers that stayed the course in the upper room had the joy of being the first to receive this promise when it arrived that day. They were ready and expectant for their answer to come and it turned up SUDDENLY, FILLING ALL the space. They were ready to receive it and they did.

This week get prepared and fully expectant for your promise from God to arrive. Let it come SUDDENLY and FILL every space you have. Believe and receive it for your future in Jesus name.
