“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.”
1 Chronicles 16:11
Have you ever noticed a sign in a window that says “Help Wanted”. In reality this sign is offering more than simply employment. It is signaling that someone has discovered that they can’t accomplish all they want by themselves. They need help!
Today’s verse reminds us that whenever we need help God will respond. We may be looking at life thinking, “I don’t have the strength to accomplish all of this.” But when we pray it’s like putting out our “Help wanted” sign to God. He will respond, He will allow us to draw strength from Him.
Now there’s an amazing key hidden in this verse that will have us feeling strong more often than we feel weak. The key is to seek God’s face continually. A face that’s always looking towards God is one that will see God’s face. We don’t find His face by staring at our past; we find it by looking towards Him & His future.
This week let God know that you need His help. Let’s stop looking for Him in our past and resolutely seek Him in our future. As we do this strength will flow from heaven enabling us to flourish into a great future. It’s not that difficult; we just need to look in the right direction, to God in our future, and He’ll ensure we have His strength to get there.
