As children we can all remember playing on the seesaw. At any given moment you would either be up in the air or down on the ground. If you stood carefully with a foot on each side of the center you could steadily balance the board and the ends of the seesaw became stable.

Today’s verse reminds us that balance is essential in life. Our days of blessing and contentment will offset the days of toil and labor. A balanced life is essential to our health but many things try to hinder it from happening. The ultimate solution to an unbalanced and unhappy life cannot be bought but it can be received.

Here is one key to a contented life. Simply accept who you are! Don’t act like someone else, think less of yourself or overestimate yourself. Just be you! After all you’re exactly who & what God created! He wants to bless your life but he can only bless your real life, not your fake one.This week let’s get ready to experience the presence of God simply by accepting ourselves. Let’s stop striving or underachieving. Let’s just be ourselves. As we accept who we are, we receive a life that is a haven of contentment, peace, health and well-being. This beautiful promise over us will produce an amazing life that can be well beyond what we could ever hope or afford.

Everybody loves being a part of a team. God’s team gets involved in what’s happening on earth whether it is be prison rescues or dramatically saved lives. When we are united we are all better together than when we’re apart.

Today’s verse reminds us that the Christian life is an exciting life. It is a life in the Spirit. It is the type of life available to every follower of Jesus. It’s the life we’re meant to be living. Literally this verse reads, “Blessed are the easily imposed upon by the Holy Spirit for they shall be given an involvement in heavens plans on earth.”

To be meek simply means to be submissive to, gracious towards and easily imposed upon by the Holy Spirit.  To inherit means to be given an involvement in what God is doing on earth. As we allow the Holy Spirit to lead our lives an inheritance is opened to us. But if we continue to live in a selfish way the doors of inheritance are closed.

This week let’s allow the Holy Spirit to lead us into our future. He will take us into realms of God that we have never experienced before.  Let’s open up our heart and learn to be involved in heaven’s plans here on earth anytime… anywhere! This will start us on an exhilarating journey that we’ll be so glad we’re on.
