God’s Talking…

Numbers 23:19 “God is not like people. He tells no lies. He is not like humans. He doesn’t change his mind. When he says something, he does it. When he makes a promise, he keeps it”

Have you ever told people the truth only to have them not believe you? It can be devastating but as time passes, and good fruit shows, everything turns around. Those who didn’t believe you often become your greatest cheerleaders.

Today’s verse states 4 important facts:

GOD…

  • Tells NO LIES
  • Doesn’t CHANGE HIS MIND
  • DOES WHAT HE SAYS
  • KEEPS EVERY PROMISE He makes

We must understand that God’s pleasure is that we believe Him and His word. Often people humanize God to have similar weaknesses and failures to themselves. The fact is our God is not weak in any area. He is stable, sure and true!

This is why we can be 100% obedient to God’s Word. It will produce everything that it says. There are no lies and no changes. Exactly what God says is what will happen. We can bind our lives to Him and have success as we obey His Word.

This week let’s work on any lingering areas of doubts that we may hold towards God’s Word. Dig them out of our lives by telling them the truth… “God said it, I believe it and I’m going to do it.” Keep speaking to them until they line up with His Word. Doubt will flee and the strength of God will enter in and before long our fruit will be displaying the truth of God in every arena of our lives.

Your Time to Flourish…

1 Corinthians 3:6 “I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.”

Have you ever been in a circumstance where you think to yourself a third hand would be really helpful right now? It doesn’t matter what the situation, we all have times when we need help to successfully complete our assignment.

We must remember that we are each created to be dependent on other people. Every person, no matter how competent, needs help. We are each limited physically, intellectually and spiritually. That is why God created us to work with others. It is the very reason that He surrounded us with family, friends, colleagues and spiritual leaders.

As we all work together, each doing our part, an amazing thing happens. God makes that seed grow. That’s right, He is then able to make our tasks flourish, grow and produce fruit! I’m ready for that, how about you?

This week let’s set our sights on flourishing in God by finding the right people to team up with and take on life’s big challenges. This will activate the principle of growth over our lives. Once our part is done then God is able to complete His part. We will soon discover ourselves surrounded by growth. We will experience the sweet fruit of success. God will cause our lives to flourish like never before.

The Real Life…

Genesis 1:28 “God blessed them: “Prosper! Reproduce! Fill the Earth! Take charge!”

When we meet someone for the first time we often remember the conversation that took place. Those who are married often remember exactly what they said the first time they met each other. These are important times and so we remember them.

Now, today’s verse contains some of the most important words in the whole bible and it is essential that we understand them. They are the first words ever spoken by God to His creation, mankind. They are the first words ever heard by the ears of man and contain the first direction on what we are to achieve in life.

God said He wants us to:

  • Prosper
  • Be Fruitful [Reproduce]
  • Replenish [Fill the Earth]
  • Subdue [Take Charge]

These words describe the overcoming life that God desires us to live. If we live life at anything less we will be living below the potential that God has for us. Remember that God is not speaking of living a selfish and lavish lifestyle. Rather he is describing a victorious life marked by caring and helping others on life’s journey.

This week, activate God’s first words in your day-to-day life. Make a decision that no matter what situation comes your way, you are going to view it His way. Look at the situation [no matter how difficult it seems] and plan how you can make it prosper, be fruitful, replenished and subdued. Life will take on a whole new beauty as you do!
