Faith, Hope, Love…

Psalms 95:6 “Come let us adore and bow down: Let us kneel before the LORD our maker for he is our God.”

As we approach the celebration of the birth of Jesus many people are busy organising last minute gifts to ensure that everyone is taken care of on the day. Christmas is a special time of outreach and inclusion, a time when we can share the love and goodness of Christ with others.

It is a time to stop and remember the reason for this season. We celebrate the love that God has for this world. His great love sent Jesus into the midst of all that was lost and dying. Jesus’ sacrifice allowed us to be reconciled back to God again as He laid down His life on the cross.

Now that is truly something that we should be thankful for. We should worship God because of it. As we come humbly before our Lord in this way we testify that we are His people and we are surrendered to His leadership.

This Christmas as we celebrate Jesus let’s also remember our maker and our God. Set aside time to adore, worship and bow down before him and express our love and adoration. Not only will this bring honour to God but it will also help to restore faith, hope and love to those around you.

Get Ready…

Matthew 18:4 “Whoever becomes like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

A few days ago I was at the supermarket waiting in a checkout line. In front of me was a 4-year-old child having a conversation with his grandmother. He was excitedly telling her that he was four and in a few days he would be five. His excitement was uncontainable. He wanted everyone to know that he was approaching a great milestone and that we should all be as expectant as he was.

We must recognize that God really loves this part of a child’s nature. Excitement and expectation are extremely important in life. They are both vital traits that build a great future.

Our verse says that as we exercise such traits they cause us to become great in the Kingdom of heaven. There is no reason for us to exclude excitement and expectancy from our lives. They are designed to help build our present faith and construct our “mountain moving” faith for the future.

So, this week, join us in getting excited about what God has planned for the future. Build expectancy just like the 4 year old at the store. Don’t allow someone else’s wet blankets to put out your newfound fire and zeal. Instead let your excitement and expectation overcome every obstacle in your path. Before long you’ll be celebrating your arrival at the milestone and be looking forward to your next one.

Healing Jesus…

Philippians 2:9 “Because of this, God has also greatly exalted him and he has given him The Name which is greater than all names…”

Today, I sit writing this email in a medical library. There are hundreds of thousands of books stacked on row after row of shelves. They are all filled with information about sickness, disease and infirmities. They cover being unwell in the physical, mental and spiritual realms.

Now, remember that Adam was entrusted by God to name His creations in Genesis 2. Ever since then mankind has given names to everything they discover. Nothing exists that we will not name. So, as I survey this library of books filled with words, I laugh to myself. We have just one word, one name that is above all the multiplied millions of ailments named. We have the name of Jesus!

This is the truth of the GOOD NEWS of the gospel. EVERY knee must bow to the name of Jesus. Every sickness, disease or infirmities must admit defeat. Jesus has already won the victory over them. The battle is already finished!

Are you ready to prepare for a victorious week? We need to take this GOOD NEWS and wage war with it. Lets speak the faith filled name of Jesus against whatever ails us, never taking “no” for an answer. We’ll be staring victory in the face before we know it.

Remember that we continue in pray for you daily. We know that God’s best is pursuing you into your future.

Activated Faith…

2 Corinthians 4:13 “And since we have the same spirit of FAITH, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke” we also believe and therefore speak.” (NKJV)

When we are shocked or surprised we become speechless.  Fact: God does not want us stuck with nothing to say! You see our words are designed to become extremely powerful when used in agreement with God’s Word.

Let’s take a closer look… this verse shows us that FAITH is simple.  FAITH is to believe AND SPEAK God’s word. When we do this God says we have the spirit of FAITH.

Here is how to active FAITH:
Hear the Word + Believe the word + Speak the word = Activated FAITH

As you can see to move in FAITH involves all of these ingredients working together. We believe therefore we speak it out aloud.  As we do this, FAITH is activated. The result? Things that were not become things that are. Before we know it we are seeing God’s promises fulfilled – How exciting!!!

Do it now… activate FAITH by hearing, believing and speaking God’s Word. Use activated FAITH on your most desperate situations. Watch how quickly they turn around and line up with God’s Word. It really works!!!

3 Things We Should Always Do…

2 Timothy 4:7 “I have FOUGHT a good fight, I have FINISHED my course, I have kept the FAITH” [KJV]

Success in life takes more than just talent!  Paul allows us to see a little of his life in this verse. He lists three things that were vital to receiving His crown:

  1. He FOUGHT
  2. He FINISHED his course
  3. He kept the FAITH

Paul successfully completed his destiny in life and since God is no respecter of persons, we can use these same principles and obtain success.

As you can see, we must always FIGHT to move forward, we must FINISH what we have started and we must exercise FAITH in everything we do.

This week, let’s check our Christian walk and what we are pursuing to see if we are:

  1. FIGHTING or yielding to circumstance?  We must always fight and press to move forward.
  2. FINISHING what we have started? Don’t compare with others, finish your list!
  3. Exercising our FAITH in all we do? We cannot ride on the beliefs or faith of others we must pursue what the bible tells us to do.

Its time for action! Stay strong and have a great week in Jesus.

Water Damage…

Matthew 21:21 “…if you have faith and do not doubt…” [NKJV]

Doubt causes delay in our lives. It is a much-loved weapon of the devil and a deception from the enemy. It is used as a destructive tool to stop us from walking in overcoming faith. Now, overcoming faith is what the bible describes in Hebrews 11 “By Faith” these great men and women of God overcame every impossible situation. “By Faith” you and I can overcome in exactly the same way!

Doubt gets into our life and minds like slowly seeping water. What was a damp spot yesterday is now a pool today and will be a raging river by next week. This is why Jesus says to have faith and do not doubt. Doubt in any quantity is very destructive.

At times in life we can come to a point of weariness in fighting our doubt battles. When we feel like this it is prime time to grab a hold of the following faith keys so that we do not succumb to the enemies plan.

  • God has heard your prayer
  • Your answer is on the way
  • Keep doubt out
  • Always keep going no matter what it looks like
  • Obey God
  • Follow His instructions

This week choose to activate these 6 vital keys in your life. Print them out and stick them to your bathroom mirror so that they are the first things you see each morning. They will help you to fight the good fight of faith and apprehend your victory in Jesus.
