Wanted Dead or Alive…

Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit”

People like watching a good cowboy movie especially on a wet afternoon. As the good guys pursue the bad guys we often see a sign with the villains picture that says “Wanted Dead or Alive.” The good guys keep chasing him down until they have their man.

Our verse tells us exactly who the villain in our life is; it’s our tongue, or more practically, the words that we speak. Each time we open our mouth we have the choice to speak words that bring life or ones that produce death. If we speak words of life then we eat the fruit of a great life.

This week let’s be like the good guys in the movie and pursue our words. Let’s take time to listen to ourselves and catch any words of death. Don’t concern yourself with what others say just focus on yourself and your words. Other people will eat the fruit that comes from their own words.

When you hear yourself not speaking life then pause for a moment, think and then speak out fresh words of life. You will train yourself into an abundant life in no time. Areas that you have struggled in will start to change. Good stuff will begin to grow and flourish in your life as you tend them correctly with your words.

We love you – have the greatest week!

No Longer Religion…

Acts 10:1-2 “There was a man in the city of Caesarea by the name of Cornelius. He was a captain of an Italian group of the army. He and his family were good people and honored God. He gave much money to the people and prayed always to God.”

The bible says Cornelius was a good man who greatly respected God and treated Him with honour, obedience and he gave generous amounts of money to people as he prayed continually.

As we continue to read about Cornelius, we find that God came to him in a vision because of his respect, his honour, his obedience, his prayers and his generous giving. In the vision, God laid out how everything that Cornelius was doing was releasing salvation and healing to his household.

But that’s not all… God also brought the Apostle Peter, a mighty man of God, into Cornelius’ home to release the power of God right into his situation.  Are you getting excited?  We sure are! See how obedience to God and giving generously to support His work on earth releases the power of God into our everyday situations.

Sound amazing?  Well it gets even better.  When the angel of the Lord showed up to Cornelius in the vision, the angel told Cornelius that his prayers and his generous giving were coming up as a MEMORIAL before God! [Acts 10:4]

Your obedience and giving makes a MEMORIAL before God…WOW! Why not become a MEMORIAL builder this week through your obedience and generosity. Partner with Spirit Word [click here] and be like Cornelius in these verses… God has power to release into your world today!

It’s Coming To You…

Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” [NASB]

Did you ever plant seeds in a garden and they failed to come up? This has happened to me and it can be quite disappointing. In life we often carry expectations that do not produce our anticipated result. We can end up HARVESTING something different to what we wanted or expected to get.

This is where our verse fits, giving us understanding about our HARVEST. You see a HARVEST always comes from what we previously planted. What we plant includes attitudes, finances, words, acts of kindness… the list is endless!

The truth is that spiritual laws have the potential to operate in either a positive or negative way, depending on how we use them. It is absolutely vital that we take into account that in our future we will be required to HARVEST what we planted.

Here’s the solution: Plant good seed! As we consciously do this we plant less bad seed and when HARVEST time comes we have confidence that it will be a good HARVEST!

Remember this: Don’t plant what you don’t want to HARVEST in your future.

There is always a HARVEST coming to us – let’s make sure it a good one!

Genuine Nuggets…

1 Thessalonians 5:21 “But test and prove ALL things until you can recognize what is GOOD; to that hold fast.” [AMP]

Don’t take chances with the many ‘voices’ in our world. In the course of our daily life we hear the voice of the media, opinions of other people, accusations and lies from the enemy, wrong thinking in our own head and in the midst of them all the truth from the Holy Spirit.

As you can see, with all this noise and opinion battling to enter our ears, it is absolutely necessary for us to test and prove ALL things. Notice God’s word says “…ALL things…” not just testing and proving ‘some’ things, but ALL things!

No doubt about it… as Christians it is our duty to test all things with the Word of God. Only as we test things with God’s Word can we start to recognize what is GOOD and what is not! The result? We then allow access to the good and resist the bad.

Best of all when we recognize something GOOD and have proven it GOOD we are to hold fast to it and not let it go! When we discover GOOD we have found a gem, a NUGGET OF GOLD and it becomes something we can live life with.

Now for the surprise! As we fill our lives with these proven nuggets, anything bad won’t have room to fit. Now, isn’t this the sort of life we want to live?

This is your moment… fill your life with Word of God proven nuggets and start enjoying a bountiful, blessed week!

Say Good Riddance To Loneliness…

1 Corinthians 12:14 “For the BODY is not one member, but many.” [KJV]

The treasure held in this scripture is that we are never alone on our journey. We are not meant to go through things alone, neither should we ever accomplish anything just for ourselves. Rather, everything that is accomplished is done for the benefit of the whole body, the Church. Sure some go first and others follow, but we all move forward together as a team, the BODY of Christ, Jesus hands and feet on earth.

It is a truly miraculous coming together of individual people, unique and dynamic that form this BODY, the magnificent church of Jesus Christ.

You are never alone… you belong to the family of God. You are moving forward as part of the BODY of Christ – the church. Christ’s body is supplying you as you grow this week. If you are feeling lonely or isolated then get into God’s house and connect with the other member of Christ’s BODY. You’ll surprise yourself at the difference it makes.

Get ready for a great week!!!

It’s True! Payday Is Coming…

Ephesians 6:8 “Good work will get you GOOD PAY from the Master, regardless of whether you are slave or free.” [MSG]

Payday will always come! We all love payday because we get a return for our time and labor giving us money to use for our future. When God is your master you will always get the BEST pay for serving Him, His leaders, His people and doing life His way… now this is fantastic news.

But that’s just a part of the story; the devil has a payday as well for those who do things his way. The devils pay is debt, sickness, disease and brokenness… everything that you and I don’t want.   People often carry out his work not realizing that without a doubt he will surely pay them in their future… guaranteed!

Sometimes it seems as if those who do evil are prospering… NEVER despair. We need to have great compassion for them because they have not yet had their eyes opened to the devils payday! Pray they will see it before eternity!

For these and many other reasons KEEP DOING GOOD WORKS FOR THE LORD. Our payday is coming with GOOD PAY from our master. Never tire in doing good works; you’ll be so glad you did… God’s payday always comes!
